What stays on your device

Your guesses, results and stats are saved only in this browser's local storage (localStorage). It is not a cookie and is not sent to our server. Clearing browser data removes it.

What goes to the server

Each time you guess, the word, language and day number go to our server. That is required to score it. The values are neither stored nor logged.

Steps such as opening a page or finishing a game are counted once. Only the date and time of the step, the step name, the language and a referral label (the referring site domain) are kept. IP addresses and cookies are not read, so one visitor cannot be told from another.

This site is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may add a small analytics script that we did not add ourselves.

Rank service

When you solve a puzzle, the guess count and start and end times go to the rank service (ranks.gwirae.com). Without signing in you appear without a name. This app's address sets no cookies. If you use the leaderboard, the ranking service (ranks.gwirae.com) may set two cookies (rk_k and rk_s) to recognize your device. Details are in its privacy policy at ranks.gwirae.com/privacy. Games you gave up on are not sent.

Ads

Google AdSense ads may appear on the finished screen and on past answers pages. Loading ads can let Google use cookies. No ads load while you are typing guesses.
